My father and I both got new phones over christmas. We were both fed up with at&t’s lack of coverage in certain areas. He go the touch pro 2 and I got the more standard droid with sliding keyboard. I say this because the naming of the droid is somewhat confusing, there are many “droids” out there all with different features. I enjoyed mine from the moment I opened it, not because of any major breakthroughs of radical changes but simply because of subtle new features that aided my everyday activities. The best of which so far has been the gps feature that the iphone fails to take advantage of. The navigation is excellent. Also the ability to change the background adds some personal style. Another advantage lies in the droids multitasking ability. Back to my father, within 3 hours of dealing with the windows mobile operating system of his new htc touch pro 2 and after much agony my father decided he very much disliked this phone. 2 weeks later he has gone back to iphone although it has inferior coverage and he is reluctant to take another chance with a verizon phone until they become Iphone compatible.
