Time Is Our Most Valuable Resource

by admin on April 10, 2010

When it is all said and done, our most critical tangible resource is time. Throughout the years we have found ways to give each human more time by way of medical research and use of principles of safety. However, the concept of time still remains essentially the same as it was for the cavemen. All the major leaps of faith we take should directly relate to our life goals. I  recently came to the conclusion that playing video games etc., with friends is great but in moderation, as well as many other things. We must balance our life, but that is a separate topic.     Everyday we should pursue all that we love to our maximum current capabilities. I understand that many of us have dreams that seem impossible or would require more moneythan we have even imagined seeing in our whole lives. There is always a way,  no matter how unlikely it may seem. If we can’t complete our goals, then, we must at least try to find true peace with one’s self. There are many things we like; some are pleasures, some are projects . We also find the balance between these. Being productive, especially working on your own ideas and interest is among the best feelings we humans have the privilege to experience. So, the  next time you are going to spend all night playing video games, wallowing in your own self pity, or wasting time watching mindless TV, think about your future and do something meaningful. If you try to achieve your dreams throughout life,  you already have  succeeded and true failure is impossible. Here are some quotes to complete the picture:

“Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of.”
– Benjamin Franklin
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
– Henry David Thoreau
